A consultation is the first step in preparing your home for sale. We will provide you with a detailed assessment, and recommendations on maximizing your homes full potential. An all too familiar and expensive mistake of listing a property that is not ready to show can lead to “low ball offers” or leave it sitting on the market far longer than anticipated, leaving you with no other option, but to reduce your price. At Home Staging Consultants, we are also aware of the fact that time restrictions and/or budgets do not always allow for a full staging. By using your existing furniture and accessories, we can achieve the desired look that is necessary to get your property SOLD.

Vacant properties have a reputation for sitting on the market far longer than ones that have been furnished or staged. Without furniture, they have potential buyers focusing on all the negative features, of the property. By adding furniture and accessories, instead of focusing on the negative, buyers are now focusing on furniture placement and how their own furniture will fit in. Instead of walking away with a feeling of emptiness, potential buyers are now visualizing themselves living there.

Detailed Consultations
 Each property is unique and therefore, consultations are a necessary first step to preparing a home for sale. During the consultation process, Home Staging Consultants will complete a comprehensive room to room walk through and analysis of the property. This process usually takes about two to three hours. Recommendations and advice on furniture layout, lighting, paint, de-cluttering, etc., are discussed in detail with our clients. We then develop a package that best suits our client’s budget and needs, in order to showcase the property and get it SOLD.
At the consultation visit, a quote is given verbally, and followed up with a detailed quote and agreement to be signed by the client. Upon signing, a 50% deposit is required to reserve furniture and move ahead with the staging preparation.
- The balance is required on staging day, once showcase presentation is complete.
- All furniture and accessories are based on a 30 day rental period.
- Consultation fee is $200.00 for the first 2 hours and $50.00 for every half hour over.
Whether you go ahead with the staging or decide to take the advice and move forward on the recommendations yourself, your property is one step closer to being market ready.
